Frequently Asked Questions

Please read our FAQ before sending us a message.

Most individuals are familiar with the term ‘open source.’ It means a piece of software or code, that is free to make use of. You’re free to use, copy, examine, change, enhance or redistribute the software program as you want.

WordPress is open source software and is based upon the GPL (General Public License) that you can read extra about over on the WordPress website

The main point to notice is that any software program that’s constructed upon WordPress must carry ahead the original GPL license.

“… if you distribute copies of such a program, whether gratis or for a fee, you must give the recipients all the rights that you have.

You must make sure that they, too, receive or can get the source code. And you must show them these terms so they know their rights.”

We believe in the open-source community and believe that WordPress should be available to all.

Unfortunately, premium plugin and theme authors refuse to decouple support from the code, they won’t set regional price differences and they rarely offer discounts to students, low waged or the young.

We are providing a third way by redistributing the code without any unneeded extras.

No. If you require technical support regarding a plugin or theme then you will need to either purchase the product directly from the author (all links are provided) or you will need to hire a freelancer to take a look for you. Alternatively, you could ask around some of the helpful WordPress community forums.

As many as you like. The plugins and themes are 100% GPL licensed so you can use them as often as you like on as many sites as you like.

Yes. All our products are regularly kept up to date. As soon as we are notified about an update, we download it from the developer and update it on our site.

As long as you have an active subscription then you will have access to the updates.

You can see our most recent updates by visiting our changelog

Ignore it. Developers include these so that the plugin or theme can update automatically or so that you can register for support. The item itself will work perfectly fine without anything being entered in the box.

We would recommend updating your theme/plugins manually when updates become available on our site

Yes, If it’s GPL licensed then we can try and get it! Drop us a line using our contact form and let us know what item(s) you would like to add to our directory.

We try and bring new items into the site each month based on how many users are requesting the item.

Because all items are GPL licensed it’s extremely unlikely there is one. Also, we only use the names of products nominatively as a way of identifying one item from another and clearly emphasize on our website that no items on this site are endorsed or sponsored by any trademark holder.

Nonetheless, please use our contact form to highlight any concerns and we’ll be happy to work with you.

Yes. As long as you have an active subscription you will gain access to all our new releases. We bring new products into the site each month

Yes, absolutely. We have Purchased and active subscriptions to the developers of the products featured on our website. We download from them and redistribute to you as per the GPL license.

No. Sorry we’re going to have to be a little strict on this one.

The nature of digital media means that once you have downloaded a plugin or theme there’s really no way to ‘return’ it.

If you think you might have some doubts then why not just subscribe for a month before committing to a longer subscription?

Yes, of course. You’re not locked in.

You can cancel your subscription by logging into the member’s area and visiting the subscription link.

If you have any problems then let us know and we’ll be happy to cancel it for you. No questions asked.
